Epoxy Resin Flooring

Seamless, heavy-duty resin systems for warehouses, factories, and industrial premises across Hertfordshire.

What Is Epoxy Resin Flooring?

Epoxy resin flooring is a seamless, poured system created by mixing epoxy resin with hardeners and often aggregates or decorative chips. The liquid mixture is applied to a prepared concrete subfloor, where it chemically cures into a hard, continuous surface bonded directly to the substrate.

Unlike sheet or tile products, epoxy resin has no seams, joints, or gaps. This creates a monolithic, fully sealed surface that is impervious to moisture, chemicals, and contaminants. The smooth finish is easy to clean and supports rigorous hygiene standards in food production, pharmaceutical, and cleanroom environments.

Epoxy systems range from thin, self-levelling coatings for light industrial use to heavy-duty, trowel-applied screeds capable of withstanding extreme point loads, thermal shock, and chemical exposure. The system specification is tailored to the demands of each facility.

We install epoxy resin flooring for warehouses, factories, production facilities, and automotive workshops across Hertfordshire. From smooth, high-gloss coatings in storage areas to textured, anti-slip systems in wet or oily zones, every installation is specified for the operational reality of the site.

Key Features & Benefits

Epoxy Resin offers a unique combination of practical and performance advantages for commercial environments.

Seamless & Impervious

Epoxy creates a continuous surface with no joints, seams, or grout lines where dirt, moisture, or bacteria can accumulate. This makes it the preferred choice for food production, pharmaceutical, and cleanroom applications requiring the highest hygiene standards.

Exceptional Chemical Resistance

Epoxy systems resist oils, solvents, acids, alkalis, and cleaning chemicals. This makes them ideal for workshops, production areas, and facilities handling aggressive substances that would degrade conventional flooring materials.

Heavy Load Tolerance

High-build and heavy-duty screed systems are rated for point loads exceeding 5 tonnes. Forklifts, pallet trucks, and heavy equipment operate without causing surface fatigue, tyre marking, or structural damage to the floor.

Anti-Slip & Safety Zoning

Anti-slip aggregate can be broadcast into the wet epoxy to create textured surfaces with custom slip ratings. Line marking in contrasting colours defines walkways, forklift lanes, and hazard zones, improving site safety in busy industrial environments.

Dust-Free Finish

Untreated concrete dusts heavily under traffic, creating respiratory hazards and contaminating stock and equipment. Epoxy seals the concrete completely, creating a dust-free surface that improves air quality and reduces equipment wear.

Sectors Where Epoxy Resin Excels

Epoxy Resin is specified across multiple commercial sectors. These are the environments where it delivers the strongest performance.

Industrial & Warehouses

Factories, warehouses, and production facilities rely on epoxy resin for its durability under heavy equipment, resistance to oils and chemicals, and dust-free surface that improves operational hygiene.

View sector

Food & Beverage

Food production areas require hygienic, seamless floors that withstand steam cleaning, chemical disinfection, and thermal shock from hot water and cold storage. Epoxy meets all these demands.

View sector

Automotive & Workshops

Garages, MOT centres, and vehicle workshops need floors that resist oil, petrol, brake fluid, and heavy point loads from vehicle jacks and ramps. Epoxy is the standard specification.

View sector

Pharmaceutical & Cleanrooms

Cleanroom and pharmaceutical facilities require floors that are impervious, easy to sterilise, and resistant to aggressive cleaning agents. Seamless epoxy is the benchmark flooring for these environments.

Case Study: Ware Distribution Hub, 15,000 sq ft Epoxy Installation

The Challenge

A Ware distribution hub required a floor that could survive 24/7 forklift traffic, resist hydraulic fluid and oil spillages, and support food-grade hygiene standards. The existing concrete was dusting heavily.

Our Solution

We applied a 4mm polyurethane heavy-duty screed in traffic areas with anti-slip aggregate, and a 2mm smooth high-build epoxy in storage racking zones. Safety line marking was installed for pedestrian walkways.

The Outcome

Dust generation ceased immediately. The facility passed its next food-grade audit, and forklift tyre wear dropped measurably. Safety line marking reduced near-miss incidents.
